Alayna brings 27 years in the saddle and 10 years of instructional experience to riders at every stage, from a first lesson to ambitious competitive goals.

Alayna has taught hundreds of students across a wide range of ages, experience levels, confidence levels, and goals. Her background includes private coaching, small-group lessons, and larger group instruction within a 25-stall equestrian program in Georgia.
That range of experience means knowing when to simplify an explanation, when to change an exercise, and when a rider is ready for a greater challenge without losing sight of correct fundamentals or the horse’s well-being.
At Blackrock, progress is built through clear communication, thoughtful repetition, and instruction that respects where each horse-and-rider partnership is today.

Alayna’s competitive background includes USHJA/USEF hunter-jumper shows, student competition at USEF Pony Finals at the Kentucky Horse Park, and showing at Tryon International and World Equestrian Center.
Experience at large, complex competitions shapes how she prepares riders at home. The goal is not simply to arrive at a show, but to develop the fundamentals, organization, judgment, and confidence that help both horse and rider perform well in an unfamiliar environment.
